Andrew Wiggins just made it to the NBA headlines but not for his performance but for the mark he left on Luka Doncic’s face after scratching it off. The western conference finals are back and so is the energy. As the Dubs are once again running for the Finals and establishing themselves in the conversation again after two years of struggles. Andrew Wiggins though did a phenomenal job as the primary defender on Luka Doncic and that plays an important role in the win for the Golden State Warriors. The Dubs got the Game 1 and now lead the series by 1-0. Their physicality in Game 1 like bullies, dominated the Mavs and they were never able to cut the lead down.

The Golden State Warriors hosted the Dallas Mavericks at Chase Center for Game 1 of the western conference finals. The game was very important for both the teams as an early lead is always nice and advantageous during the postseason. But unexpectedly, the match-up wasn’t closely contested and head to head after some minutes of the first quarter. As the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors took control over the game and established themselves with a good lead. The Dubs showcased their team chemistry by playmaking and assisting and also locked up Luka Doncic (primary defender Andrew Wiggins) and other Mavericks stars who tried to step up and cut the lead. The final box score stands at 112-87 an embarrassing 25 points blowout loss for the Mavericks. Andrew Wiggins gets most of the credits for the win as his efforts on both the ends just made the road easy.

Early in the first quarter even before the halfway mark Luka Doncic had a face injury because Andrew Wiggins swiped to steal the ball. But got his face instead.
