Drew McIntyre will finally get the chance to wrestle CM Punk in a grudge match at SummerSlam. The Scottish Warrior, however, doesn’t hesitate to take constant shots at The Second City Saint on social media. In his latest move, he shared a picture with AEW wrestler Jack Perry. And, let’s just say, it might’ve caused a lot of stir on social media.
The 39-year-old star took to X and shared a picture with Jack Perry with the caption, “It’s a real photo; cry us a river.” The remark is connected to the real-life beef CM Punk had with the 27-year-old wrestler when he was in AEW. Last year, Perry used real glass in his match against Hook at AEW All In, despite the veteran advising him not to.
When he arrived backstage after his match, he and Punk got into a heated physical argument. The former TNT Champion was suspended indefinitely by AEW co-owner Tony Khan, who also terminated Punk’s contract. The wrestling world didn’t know what exactly happened until The Young Bucks released footage revealing that both got into a scuffle, which Samoa Joe broke up.
Punk’s heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre has been going on since his return to WWE at Survivor Series last year.
