Being a TKO board member, which makes WWE one of his priorities, The Rock is making sure that the pleas of WWE Superstars don’t fall on deaf ears. Recently, The Great One made a special appearance to promote Raw on Netflix. After setting the stage ablaze in the beginning, he went live on Instagram and ambled backstage.

At one point, Rock spotted Drew McIntyre and couldn’t help but include him in the live stream. The Scot recently told the Daily Mail that he whispered something into Rock’s ear and that was a favor he asked for. Drew relayed to the outlet that the Black Adam star is already working on it.

Apart from that, the Ayr-born wrestler extolled the Attitude Era icon for always having his back. McIntyre talked about the Scottish Claymore he received as a gift from The Brahma Bull when he re-signed with WWE. It was a matter of great pride for Drew. The latter cited an instance from 2017. Back then, Dwayne Johnson told TMZ that he saw him as one of WWE’s biggest up-and-coming stars. That floored Drew.

The former 2-time WWE Champion went down memory lane once again to recall the time he bumped into Rock’s ex, Dany Garcia, on a flight. Expressing her appreciation for Drew, Garcia asserted that she and Dwayne were fans of him.

But despite the pep talk from the Jumanji actor, McIntyre went on to lose his match against Jey Uso later that night on the Netflix premiere of Raw. It certainly came as a shock to the fans as well. Had Drew won, he would’ve gotten a step closer to getting his retribution on Roman Reigns

Can Drew McIntyre become a 2-time Royal Rumble match winner?

Hoping to emulate the exploits of 2020, Drew McIntyre has declared himself for this year’s 30-man Royal Rumble match. This past Monday on Raw, he interrupted Seth Rollins and CM Punk.

The Scot was incensed at Rollins for being selfish over his lack of effort in stopping Roman Reigns from regaining the Ula Fala. McIntyre claimed that Reigns is the one playing chess while everyone else is up to checkers.

While Drew’s eventual motive is getting his lick back on The OTC, he’s also making WrestleMania plans for himself. From McIntyre’s perspective, he’d love to dump Roman over the top rope in the Royal Rumble match and ultimately emerge as the last man standing in the ring. It’d allow The Chosen One to challenge a world champion of his choice at The Show of Shows in Las Vegas.
