Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre recently made an appearance on the WWE Smackdown episode. He was there to inform Universal Champion Roman Reigns that McIntyre is the top guy in WWE currently. McIntyre announced that he will win the WWE Championship from Randy Orton and then defeat Reigns at Survivor Series.

Soon after the episode went off-air, McIntyre took to Twitter to send a bold message to Randy Orton and Roman Reigns. McIntyre mentions that he has made his own legacy and there wasn’t anything that he easily got because of his family. Reigns noticed the tweet and was clearly unimpressed. He says that it is a completely unoriginal excuse.

Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre can be match of the year

Drew McIntyre has been on fire throughout the year. He won the Royal Rumble and capitalized on the opportunity at Wrestlemania. He defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship. Even after losing his title to Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell, McIntyre is still going strong.

Roman Reigns has always been a top guy for WWE. But this year, Reigns was given a new character as he turned Heel. Evidently Reigns has received much more appreciation for his new character. He was on break from WWE, but returned to win the WWE Universal Championship.

While these two are clearly the top guys on WWE, fans might have to wait for their match. There have been reports that WWE is planning McIntyre against The Fiend for the PPV. If this is true then we could see The Fiend interfere in the WWE Championship match, and Orton retaining.

Survivor Series airs live on 22nd November 2020.
