Dwyane Wade, a Miami Heat legend known for his speed, earned the nickname “The Flash” from Shaquille O’Neal for his quick drives to the basket. Wade won three championships with the Heat, cementing his legacy. However, fewer people remember his brief stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers near the end of his career.

Recently, Dwyane Wade made a guest appearance on Carmelo Anthony‘s 7PM in Brooklyn Podcast. During the show, Wade recounted his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. A segment on the podcast featured Anthony and his co-host Kid Mero, discussing Wade and his Cavaliers jersey. They described Wade’s jersey as nasty, to which Wade agreed, even referring to it as the “nastiest jersey.” Wade had decided not to wear No. 3 for the Cavs due to the poor design.

Later Kid Mero asked Wade why chose No. 9 on the Cavaliers, to which Wade stated that it was his Olympics jersey number. Wade only played for the Cavaliers for one season and then quickly made his way out of the franchise. He played with the Cavaliers alongside his close friend LeBron James, and they even managed to reach the NBA finals, where they eventually got swept by the Golden State Warriors.

Wade was later traded back to the Miami Heat, where he went on to end his career. Lot of people still are unaware of Wade’s stint with the Cavaliers and general fans associate him with the Heat. Wade will certainly go down as one of the greatest Miami Heat players of all time.

The 2003 NBA draft is often regarded as one of the most talented in league history, producing stars like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony. Fans watched these three compete fiercely on the court, but off the court, they developed a lasting friendship that remains strong to this day.

Carmelo Anthony on his podcast recently shared his feelings about buying an NBA franchise. Which his co-host Kid Mero gave a situation in which Melo was owning a franchise along with his close friends LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Melo was excited to hear about the idea given by his co-host. Later, he also mentioned how it will be great for all three of the superstars.

Wade and Anthony have retired from the game and enjoying their retirement life. While James is still a part of the league and will soon be playing in his 22nd season in the league and soon will be retiring from the league.
