Erling Haaland Reveals His Hilarious Response After Tom Holland Urged Him to Join Tottenham

Erling Haaland has revealed the reply he sent Tom Holland after the Spider-Man actor asked him to join Tottenham Hotspur in an Instagram message from 2021.
For the unversed, Holland contacted Haaland on May 23, 2021, when the Norwegian striker was playing for Borussia Dortmund. The actor said he had seen Haaland in Monaco and invited him to meet for a drink. He also asked the forward to join Tottenham.
Haaland discussed the exchange on his YouTube channel while reacting to memes and messages about himself. He read the message Holland had sent him.
So his message was on the 23rd of May, 2021. ‘Heya mate, just saw you’re in Monaco. If you want to grab a drink or something, give me a shout and please come join Spurs’. Oh my God, that’s the Spider-Man guy, and I don’t watch Spider-Man. And I said it in a funny way but it got taken out of context. I sounded a bit rude, which I even sent a message because I felt bad.

The striker then explained why he initially failed to respond. Haaland said he did not recognize Holland at the time and only later realized that his reaction had made him appear rude. Holland is widely known for playing Peter Parker and Spider-Man in the Marvel films.
Haaland later sent Holland a message to explain that he had not intended to ignore him. He also addressed the actor’s request for him to join Tottenham.
It’s a story going out that I was ignoring you. Just wanted to make sure that wasn’t my intention or whatever. And by the way, not too sure about Spurs at the moment, but who knows in the future?

Haaland ultimately did not join Tottenham. The striker moved from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and is currently contracted with the Premier League club until 2034.
