Tenz rumoured to test the waters of free agency this Valorant offseason
TenZ may not stay with the Sentinels this offseason
With this year’s edition of VCT underway in Istanbul, rumours have emerged that point at quite a wild offseason following the tournament, especially involving the status of Tenz, considered by many to be one of the greatest players of the game.
The rumours stem from insider sources, who told George Geddes of Dot Esports about the potential free agent this offseason. These rumours come after Tenz’s team, the Sentinels lost the NA Last Chance Qualifiers Quarterfinals to the eventual winners 100Thieves.

Tenz’s rejoining dependent on partnership with Riot
Tyson Ngo, known better as ‘Tenz’, is one of the most well-known professional players of the game, being a regular in some of the most high-profile tournaments and the first player of the North American region to hit Radiant, the highest rank in the game.
According to sources credited by George Geddes of Dot Esports, TenZ will also be a part of the professionals becoming free agents after the current season concludes with the end of Champions 2022 Istanbul. TenZ’s last appearance at a professional level was for the Sentinels, as they faced 100Thieves in a losing effort at the Last Chance Qualifiers for North America.
His current team Sentinels will be looking to re-sign him if they manage to enter a partnership with Riot Games and secure a spot for themselves in the Americas league, which will be starting in February. Riot is yet to choose a full list of teams for the league, and partnered teams will need to submit their roster by mid-October for the said league.

TenZ’s contract dictates that he can begin negotiating with other teams in December, with many organizations likely being interested in having the pro join their team. Even the Sentinels could try to renegotiate with him if they end up getting a spot in the partnership league.
TenZ’s contribution to the Sentinels’ Valorant team has been invaluable to the organisation. Whatever the future holds for him and the Sentinels might be uncertain, all the fans can do at this moment is wait and watch to see if he will remain loyal to his current team or find a new home for next year’s season.
