Genshin Impact recently announced the details of Hypostatic Symphony: Dissonant Verse Event, along with its release date and as this event provides primogems on defeating the Hypostases family, players might require a guide to defeat the latest member of the Hypostases units, the Dendro Hypostases.

Although the latest boss has been present in the game for quite a long time, players didn’t get primogems after defeating it. HoYoverse has therefore brought an event that will reward its players on defeating the boss. The event will commence on 24th November and primogems will be given after the first clearing of Standard Scoring.

First things first, it is important to note where the Dendro Hypostases reside in Genshin Impact. Since it got released with Sumeru, it goes without saying that the boss will be present in the Dendro nation only. To mark his exact location, players can check out the image above which shows the boss lying in the deserts of Sumeru.

Coming to the point of defeating the boss, here are some crucial points that players should keep in mind before entering the boss’ arena-

Team composition

Amber and Lisa
  • Carry a Pyro bow character
  • Carry an Electro (catalyst) / Dendro (bow) character

World bosses such as Hypostases, be it any element provide long range attacks, which implies players MUST keep a bow user in their team, to provide damage without going near the enemy.

Focus on attacking the crystal core

Every hypostases including the Dendro one gives a long-ranged attack where even moving around for a character might get difficult. Its only weakness is when it leaves its crystal core open. Seize the moment, switch to a Pyro bow user such as Amber (F2P) or Yoimiya (P2W), and provide instant charged Attack DMG.

Use Pyro elemental burst to counter the Dendro explosion

The most unique aspect of Dendro Hypostases is that teleports itself in the middle of the arena and spreads Dendro vines around its corner, which of course, will provide DMG. To avert losing HP, players can use Amber’s elemental burst at the middle to provide DMG to the crystal core, while simultaneously attacking the grown vines.

Dendro and Electro units in revival phase

Every hypostases in Genshin Impact, after shredding a lot of HP, tries to revive itself by introducing a lot of attacks in a row. To counter this, we have Dendro and Electro units to the rescue. Use Collei to destroy the Pylons floating in the arena, then quickly change to Lisa as she is an Electro catalyst user, to contain the boss from reviving itself.

That’s pretty much all of it required to defeat the latest boss in Genshin Impact, while it is also important to keep your eye out and dodge the attacks it makes in a mechanical way. Make sure to defeat the boss and complete the event before 5th December.
