Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took the game one notch up from its predecessor by adding various new gameplay mechanics and features that engage the player in the vast open map of Hyrule. In the series, the protagonist Link changes various looks and feels throughout the series. Tears of the Kingdom introduced some new outfits for players to try out, like cold resistance outfits and fierce deity armor and swords. This has been inspired by the N64 Nintendo’s Majora Mask arc in the game. In this guide, players are sure to get their hands on one of the looks of the Fierce Deity Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.

As the name suggests Fierce Deity Armor buffs the ability of Link to attack and boosts the player’s ability to combine the power with Fierce Deity Sword and gives the players an edge over their enemies and monsters in Tears of the Kingdom. The Fierce Deity Armor set comprises 4 different items namely, fierce Deity Armor, Fierce Deity Sword, and Fierce Deity facemask.

In Tears of the Kingdom when players are wandering the Hyrule map, they will come across various hearsay and discussions surrounding the legend of the Misko mask and its treasure. Sure enough, will need to head to Cephla Lake cave, which is located West of Cephla Lake. To be more accurate, players will have to look for a campfire near the lake. Players can choose to use fast travel to reach Kisinona Shrine, thereby going north. This is where players will notice two brothers, namely Dak and Prissen, talking about Misko’s mask and the treasure that belongs to her. Upon hearing out all of their discussion, players will realize the location of the treasure, which is near the cave.


The cave is full of chests containing green rupees. Players will come across a dog who upon being fed by players will accompany Link and sniff out a chest that contains Armor. Since the chest is half-buried underneath the ground, using Ultrahand will seek out the chest. Upon opening the chest players will be equipped with Ember Trousers which is among Misko’s Treasure. Further, the two brothers will approach Link and one of the duo will take a look into the chest and find a scroll in the bottle. This will kick start another quest to look for the Armor set. The four pieces of armor are secretly mentioned in the scroll which could be used to find the treasure in Tears of the Kingdom.

Players should note that they will need to come back to the same cave once the Fierce Deity Armor set is complete.

The Fierce Deity Mask

This is the first piece of the Fierce Deity set for Link. Players will find this in Skull Lake cave. The link will have to travel to Kamatukis Shrine which is near to cave. Alternatively, players can opt to go through the Akkala region as well. But this is also where players need to be equipped with flying machines to get up in the air. In case players do not have access to any flying machine, taking a long way across Kimayat Shrine is also possible. Kimayat Shrine has a place for players to simply glide over big mountains and hilltops. While gliding players will spot a pillar and in the center of it, a water pool. This is where players are supposed to land. As this will make a softened landing.

Now that players have reached the cave, they will come across a wall. This wall can be broken with hammers and tools. Players will have to be well-equipped for what comes next. As skeletal enemies and a Stalnox boss are waiting to deal with Link. After defeating the enemies players will have to scale a small platform where a Shrine with a well-kept chest will be visible. This is where the Armor piece can be collected and added to the collection.

Fierce Deity Armor

This Armor will be found in the region of Highland Akkala’s southern part. A place called Akkala Cidatel Ruins will have the Fierce Deity Armor for players to collect. If players have already completed the quest of Domizuin Shrine, this comes right after completing the Morok Shrine quest. they can fast-travel to these ruins without any delay. In the main building of the ruins, players will have to navigate to the southwestern part. This is where the entrance for the chamber holding chest will appear. However, being the ruins of the ancient past players will have to find their way through rubble and fallen structures. While finding the way players will come across a hole in the floor. Jumping through this hole will send Link to another Shrine and they will stumble upon the chest that contains the Fierce Deity Armor in it.

Fierce Deity boots

This is where things get a bit tedious for players. Since they will have to travel South of Lookout Landing on the Hyrule map, To navigate their way, players will have to travel to the Susuyai Shrine and climb up the hill, which is to the west of the Shrine. Players will come across a large tree stump, which will be in the middle of the pond and connected to the hill by a make-do wooden bridge.

Enter the hole which is present on the top of the tree stump. From here, glide down to the Ancient Tree Stump Cave. When they get here, they will have to deal with multiple enemies, like Keese and Bubblefrog, lurking on the roof of the cave. So always be cautious while on this route. Finally, players will get a sight of an opening that is covered by vines. Link can burn the vine to make way or cut it out with other weapons.Beyond the opening, they will find the chest containing the Deity’s boots.

Fierce Deity Sword in Tears of the Kingdom

As instructed previously after grabbing all the pieces of the Fierce Deity set players need to go back to Cephla Lake cave. This will prompt the game into displaying a secret passage that will show the way to the final chest shrine. The opening will only be accessible when players have fully equipped with the whole Fierce Deity set. Besides the final chest, a bottle with a scroll congratulating Link on his accomplishments will be found and the Fierce Deity Sword will be added to the player’s inventory.
