How to access buried treasure chests in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers players a large number of useful items through buried treasure chests. Tears of the Kingdom is similar to its predecessor in regards to the need for a special ability to access buried treasure chests. However, unlike its prequel where Link had the power of the Magnesis Rune, he needs use to unlock and use the Ultrahand Ability to complete this task. the Ultrahand Ability is much like the Magnesis Rune but more versatile.

How to Unlock and Use the Ultrahand Ability

There’s a feature offered to players that allows them to “grab and move objects, rotate them, and stick them to other objects.” Players will be able to unlock this ability after the tutorial mode of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This happens when the protagonist Link regains consciousness in the Great Sky Islands and tries to access the Temple of Time. After players unlock the Closed Door main quest, they will meet Rauru who will direct them to the closest Shrine on one of the floating islands.

 The shrine’s name is the Ukouh Shrine, and it’s the place where players first unlock the Ultrahand Ability. Players will then need to use Ultrahand to construct bridges and hooks to retrieve the Shrine’s Light of Blessing to complete the given mission. To equip the Ultrahand Ability, the player must:

• Hold down the L-button.
• Use the right stick to select Ultrahand.
• Release the L-button and Link will be able to grab objects with the A-button.
• Select the chest with the A-button and tilt the R-stick until it pops loose

What do buried treasure chests contain?

Unlike normal treasure chests, buried chests do not require players to defeat enemies to access them. These treasure chest spawn in every region of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hyrule, and the Sky Islands. As for what they contain can be completely random. Players will find weapons, gems, or sometimes money. Depending on what they find, they can either choose to collect it or leave it be.
