Genshin Impact players might soon see a new character in the game and surprisingly, they have previously met this character. This time around, the character or NPC will appear in front of the Travelers in its human form as leaks have revealed that the Cloud Retainer will appear as a human at one of the Lantern Rite events.

Some previous leaks provided a brief description of the Cloud Retainer’s human form, but the recent information that has been approved as reliable in the community, showcase the human form in picture. The NPC can be seen having a high ponytail and wearing glasses, for her outfit, she is donning her usual white appearance.

Cloud Retainer or the master of Shenhe first met the Traveler during the Archon Quest- Custodian of the Clouds (Of the land amidst monoliths). Ever since then, she has often appeared in several quests as well as during the Lantern Rite event. Therefore, there are high possibilities that she can be seen as a NPC at next year’s Lantern Rite.

Her current personality makes her one of the most knowledgeable NPCs in the game who can even match the wisdom of the Geo Archon, Zhongli. Cloud Retainer’s method of speaking is also unique, but whether or not, she will keep the same stature in her human form, is a major question among Genshin Impact players.

Will the Cloud Retainer ever become playable in Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact leaks coming from Uncle A have provided a clear description of Cloud Retainer’s human form- “The back of Cloud Retainer is bare, and her shoulders are covered by feathers. The Cloud Retainer has a design of wearing glasses and not [actually] wearing glasses.” However, her release date is yet to be revealed.

Most of the players are expecting her human form to initially appear as a NPC and eventually becoming playable. If this turns out to be true, then she can likely appear at the next year’s Lantern Rite event in Genshin Impact. Cloud Retainer can also have her own banner at that time, if HoYoverse decided to make her playable.

As of now, there is no information on her element and weapon, which makes it least likely that the Cloud Retainer will become playable. However, the chances cannot be ruled out completely as the Genshin Impact leaks on Cloud Retainer human form are still in its premature state.

Apart from leaks on the Cloud Retainer, several pixelated images on Fontaine characters are surfacing on the community. However, their credibility remains questionable at this point of time, considering that the Fontaine patch has months to go.
