Warzone 2 is out soon and the Call of Duty community is brimming with excitement. With the next version of the ultimate battle royale experience starting soon, many may be wondering if COD points from the previous game carry over to the new game. The answer, thankfully, is in the affirmative.

COD Points can be purchased or earned through the Battle Pass. COD Points allow users to purchase battle passes, cosmetics, blueprints, operator skins, and more. In Activision’s system, COD Points are one of the most important in-game currencies to keep the company alive.

Warzone 2.0 releases soon and there is plenty of hype for it

Starting with Call of Duty Black Ops 3, COD Points always carry over from game to game, and players can eventually receive them upon login. However, this does not apply to Call of Duty Mobile. With that in mind, fans can be assured that COD points will carry over from Warzone to the hyped up Warzone 2.0.

However, Activision had previously confirmed that Call of Duty points would be platform-specific. Players may lose COD Points if they attempt to jump platforms. On PC, COD is back on Steam. Cosmetics, skins, and other items purchased or acquired in Warzone do not carry over to the next game.

Infinity Ward developers revealed during the Call of Duty Next event that Warzone 2 will be an all-new experience with a clean slate and hard reset. Therefore, all progress, achievements and in-game items will not carry over to Warzone 2. The Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Beta has ended and we have no information about the Warzone 2 Beta.

Warzone 2.0 releases on November 16, so there are plenty of ways to get your hands on it before the original releases. However, there may be a surprise announcement during the release of Modern Warfare 2 that will give players a chance to try out the new Warzone 2. However, this is a very rare possibility and may never come to pass.
