In a recent blog post, Infinity Ward detailed all the changes coming to the game in its final form. Infinity Ward expressed its gratitude to the players who discovered bugs, mistakes, room for improvement, and more, and assisted in the overall development of the game. The footstep audio is coming first because the developers noticed it was more fun for players during the second week of the beta.
During the beta period, this was another feature that received a lot of attention. By the second week, better feedback was received and developers were able to improve it. They will continue to tweak it to improve player visibility and tracking.
This issue was addressed during the beta, and heading into launch the developers will be actively investigating possible solutions.
This is definitely the central theme of the entire game and one that everyone likes. All weapon tuning adjustments made during the Beta have been well received by the developers. At launch, further adjustments to weapon stats will be made.
