“Thanks, now I can sleep at night” – CD Projekt Red finally fixed the CREEPY River’s family photo in Cyberpunk 2077, fans react

The past few years have been great for the gaming community. Game developers launched many mind-boggling and fantastic games since the Covid-19 era ended. From Elden Ring to God of War Ragnarok and the upcoming Spider-Man 2, there’ve been many good video games. However, one game that created loads of hype amongst the gaming community was Cyberpunk 2077. However, its release was full of shortcomings, with bugs and glitches. One of the biggest oddities found in Cyberpunk 2077 to date was the weird River’s Family photo.

Loads of games have been plagued by bugs since their launch despite the last few years being a really good run for games. Furthermore, amongst this list, Cyberpunk 2077 was on the top. The game had many bugs since its launch. Glitchy NPCs, flying or bugged-out vehicles, performance issues, game crashes, etc., were very frequent in this game.

However, since its launch in December 2020, the devs have improved the game by leaps and bounds. The game has been in a stable state for a while now. The developers of the game didn’t leave its player base out in the dry. Moreover, amongst all the bugs and glitches, there were a few weird things in the game, too. Especially the River’s family photo in Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the community favorites in the big list of weird phenomenons.

The developers behind the game, CD Projekt Red, have, since launch, fixed a lot of wrongs in the game. The Witcher 3 developers couldn’t let such a wonderful game die down just because of bugs and glitches. Moreover, after multiple patches and updates, the game is now better than ever. With the new DLC coming to the game soon, the game’s hype is through the roof. However, certain oddities that existed in the game, like one of the important NPCs of Cyberpunk 2077, River Ward, and his weird family photo, were also fixed by the devs.

The image shows River’s family appearing awkwardly around a hospital bed, each of them looking out in a different direction. Players can see a little youngster kneeling on the bed and holding a PNG picture of a lifelike teddy bear that was put directly over the picture. Devs have finally changed this strange and unsettling River’s family picture with the 2.0 update of Cyberpunk 2077. This was one of the few community favorite video game lore.

The new image immediately surpasses the old one. Sherlotka-2137, a Reddit user, discovered and posted it to the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit. In this new photo, River’s family members are placed in casual settings, either conversing or engaged in another activity. This, despite being small, is a huge change for the community, considering it was a famous meme in the community. The community reaction to this change is hilarious:

This is a huge change, as it shows how greatly the developers are engaged in making their game better for the community. Also, with this one of the community lores of Cyberpunk 2077, the River’s family photo comes to a close. The new DLC of the game Phantom Liberty is releasing on the 26th of September on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
