The internet has been in a frenzy about a possible Fortnite UI Change. Players have been pleading for a major change in UI for quite some time now. It seems like they are finally getting it. It has been quite a while since the game has seen a major design change such as this. While there is nothing wrong with the current UI, change is good and helps make things look fresh.
The reaction to the leak has been mixed. Some people are quite fond of the way new things look. However, the new change has also faced backlash, as people seem upset about the new design. It is important to note that none of this information is official, and these are simply leaks. This means that things are subject to change, and the actual change may look vastly different from these tweets.

Fortnite’s New UI
The leaked images seem to provide a much cleaner and more streamlined design of the lobby. You can also see smaller icons, a relocated discovery menu and a quick access functionality for Survivor Medals. The page selection bar has been relocated to the top left corner of the screen. The most common criticism this style has been facing is that it looks more like the UI of a mobile game.

Multiple credible leakers and data miners have found the designs for a new interface in the game’s documentation and files. The leak has been talked about by some of the game’s most well-known leakers, including iFireMonkey, Shiina and Hypex. iFireMonkey recently tweeted out a look at the new design with the link to the game’s documentation.
The information is supposedly obtained from a Creative Document page. The page seems to have been removed for the time being. This did not stop leakers from taking screenshots in time and the new visuals seem to be all over social media. The update is likely to be released in the coming days during Fortnite Battle Royale’s 6th anniversary.
Another likely date for the change is rumoured to be October 10th. Players hope that Epic Games will come up with a better design by the time the update drops. The game has already been facing a lot of negative press lately due to the Fortnite FTC scandal. It is exciting to see what Epic Games will come up with for their anniversary update and the final version of the UI.
