The Concept Royale allows random people to design skins and has a chance to be selected and features in the game

Now that Fortnitemares 2022 has officially been announced, players are excited to receive an annualized dose of in-game spookiness. There is no official word or notice about the upcoming event yet, but players of the battle royale game will have a fair idea as to what they can expect on a minimal basis.

Fortnite players are hopeful that Fortnitemares 2022 will live up to the hype it has had over the past years, with this year being no different and also hopefully dropping in a few surprises here and there. In May, the developers of the Battle Royale game announced the winners of this year’s Concept Royale, and it’s finally time for these two skins to appear in the game.

Fortnitemares is an annual event hosted by Epic Games for Fortnite, the flagship battle royale video game. The event commemorates Halloween and the spooky month of October. Players can experience Halloween-themed cosmetics, quests, and more. The Halloween-themed event will launch on October 18th, 2022, and players will finally experience the skins they’ve been waiting for.

The outfits for Concept Royale 2022 winners ‘Glare’ and ‘Thoreau’ are finally here. The two skins have been confirmed, though there are gaps in the details of the upcoming event. The Glare concept was designed by Dreowings, a 19-year-old self-taught artist. This is Dreowings’ first submission that has featured in the game. The Sorrow, which is the second skin concept, was designed by 22-year-old artist kitsunexkitsu.

Kitsunexkitsu’s designs are appreciated by the community and Kitsu is the creator of the popular Charlotte and Marigold skin in the game. Many players believe Fortnitemares 2022 will finally bring Freddy Kruger and Ghostface to the game. There’s a growing atmosphere in the community that the iconic skin is finally coming to the game, based on a recent announcement from the developers.

Epic Games is very active when it comes to community involvement. The developers have been very receptive about the vocal and inclusive community surrounding Fortnite, and turning user-created concepts into in-game outfits. This is a good adaptation by Epic Games and it promotes various talents in being recognized.
