The new Tender Defender is an Epic Outfit in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that can be purchased in the Item Shop for  1,500 V-Bucks. Tender Defender was first released in Season 6 and is part of the Fowl Play Set. The skin can be obtained with V-Bucks from the Item Shop in the usual manner.

Tender Defender was created by an 8-year-old fan, under the name “Chicken Trooper” and the kid’s dad, known as u/tfoust10 on Reddit, posted the concept drawing on the r/FortNiteBR subreddit. The post blew up so another user by the name of u/Etsyturtle2 posted a more polished drawing. 

This resulted in Epic Games contacting the user to use that design in-game. After two months since the first concept, it was finally released in the Item Shop under the new name “Tender Defender”.

The new skin is a part of the epic outfits in Fortnite: Battle Royale, which is not very different than the rest of the collection. The set of the skin also contains:

  • Flappy Flyer
  • Scrambler

  • Tender Defender (Loading Screen)

Cosmetics rotate in and out of the shop each day, so players should get their hands on the skin as soon as possible if they want it in their collection.
