HoYoverse will be celebrating the New Year in a unique way as they look forward to the 3.4 update of Genshin Impact. Earlier today, the special program date was announced by the developers, putting an end to all the speculations that were made before by the players and leakers in the community.

The Genshin Impact 3.4 livestream will air on 6th January on both Twitch and YouTube channels of the game. Although, it is important to note here that Twitch viewers will be able to watch the content before, compared to the YouTube viewers. Here is when the program will air for the respective platforms-

The upcoming characters for version 3.4 has already been announced through the drip marketing, right at the start of the ongoing patch. Al-Haitham and Yaoyao will join the Traveler’s journey as playable characters, but gamers should not miss the livestream as a lot of additional information will be provided apart from the 300 free primogems.

First things first, players will be shown a video which summarizes the content they are going to receive in the upcoming patch. The video basically involves showcasing the new playable units along with a sneak-peek of the Archon Quest in the said update.

Following this, the developers will provide information on the upcoming banners. Although leaks have already revealed the character event wishes for 3.4 update, players should keep a close eye on the livestream, so that they are informed if any changes are made to the banner schedule-

  • First Half- Al-Haitham and Xiao (Yaoyao as 4-star character)
  • Second Half- Yelan and Hu Tao

It was also rumored that Sumeru map will be expanded during the 3.4 update. If Genshin Impact chooses to do so, all the new locations will be revealed during the special program. In addition to that, players can know every upcoming event, so that they can prepare their characters accordingly and complete the pre-requisite quests to jump right into the events once they are added.
