Genshin Impact reveals Scaramouche and Faruzan as playable characters for 3.3 update

The Wanderer and Faruzan

The drip marketing for Genshin Impact’s 3.3 update is here as HoYoverse recently took to Twitter to reveal the official art of Scaramouche and Faruzan who are going to become playable characters in the mentioned update.

Although leaks had revealed that Scaramouche who is a Fatui Harbinger in the game will become playable as ‘Wanderer’, his official design never came out from the beta versions. This time around, the developers were able to sneakily hide it from data miners and keep it a surprise until the drip marketing is conducted.

Scaramouche will be known as ‘Wanderer’ when he becomes playable and his element is surprisingly Anemo. To accompany the former Fatui member, we have a 4-star female character ‘Faruzan’ who has the same vision. The only difference between them is that ‘The Wanderer’ will be a catalyst user whereas Faruzan will be using bow during combat.

Wanderer will be the second male catalyst user in the game after Heizou and Genshin Impact leaks have claimed that his gameplay will be an enhanced version of Heizou, given that he is a 5-star character. Faruzan, on the other hand will be a support unit for The Wanderer.

The two Anemo users will become playable on 7th December in Genshin Impact as when the updates where shortened during the 3.0 update, the developers had already revealed the revised schedule of the upcoming patches. The rerun characters for this patch is currently unknown but there is high possibility that Raiden Shogun will be returning in the game.

Kazuha or Heizou could also be seen in the 3.3 update if Faruzan is released in the second phase. So far, Genshin Impact leakers have claimed that Scaramouche or The Wanderer is likely to appear in the first phase of 3.3 patch but players should wait for more accurate information, once the special program drops during the end of November.

Apart from that, the developers have also informed about the backstory of these two characters. ‘The Wanderer’ is described as a puppet of Raiden Shogun who was last seen at Tatarasuna.

Faruzan, on the other hand, is a ‘Haravatat Household Name’ who also happens to be a teacher at the Sumeru Akademiya. She is quite generous and kind but only if her students call her ‘madam’. Another thing to keep in mind while encountering with her is that she shouldn’t be asked why she is shunned at the Haravatat household.

Genshin Impact is currently moving towards the 3.2 update whose pre-installation function has been made accessible for the players today. Players can download the resources beforehand if they wish to play the content as early as possible.
