A new GTA 6 leak that hit the internet predicted that the game is set to be the most expensive game to ever be made with a massive budget of $1 – $2 billion budget. This production budget for GTA 6 is more than the amount it took Rockstar Games to develop and publish its prequel GTA 5.

The wait for Rockstar Games’ eighth installment to the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA 6 has been a really long one for fans. The sequel to GTA 5, one of the most famous AAA title of the decade GTA 6 has been highly anticipated by the fanbase. Although Rockstar Games‘ upcoming AAA GTA 6 has not received a release date as of yet, the studio has informed fans that the game is under development.

With new leaks about GTA 6 flooding the internet more regularly, fans have been really excited for the game. Other recent leaks for the game include the game’s protagonist is set to be a female and also the map being almost twice the size of the map of it predecessor GTA 5. The map is rumored to include cities from previous games like Liberty city and Vice city with the addition of new cities like Carsar City. Another leak presented the idea that the GTA 6 release date was going to be announced very soon, leaving fans eagerly waiting for this said announcement.

GTA 6 budget estimated at $1-$2 Billion

On May 9, the estimated budget for GTA 6 was leaked to be around $1-$2 Billion. Although Rockstar has not made an official announcement regarding this matter, the news on the internet has made fans believe that it is true.

Rockstar Games is known to develop and publish extraordinary games that revolutionize the gaming industry every time a new title is released. The cost from developing and publishing GTA 5 was a measly $265 million compared to the supposed budget for Rockstar’s latest GTA game. However with massive AAA titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 under their belt, the leak of its estimated budget for its newest GTA game is not unbelievable. The game is said to have been under development for almost a decade making this leak even more believable.

Considering the past releases from Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive, fans anticipate the newest installment to the Grand Theft Auto series to be the best game to ever be made.
