At the end of 2021, Rockstar Games released GTA Trilogy-Definitive Edition. Rockstar Games remastered three of its best GTA games for this edition: Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas have all been upgraded and remastered for the most recent consoles and personal computers as part of the GTA Trilogy. A number of new features and improvements are also included in Grand Theft Auto’s Definitive Edition, including support for 4K resolution, better lighting and shadows, new character models and animations, and enhanced audio and visual effects.

All of the original Trilogy games were removed from Steam and Epic Games Store prior to the release of the Definitive Edition. Even though the Definitive Edition has been out for almost a year, neither of these platforms allows for purchases of it. But now, GTA Trilogy might soon be appearing on Steam. Rockstar Games has undoubtedly been thinking about a Steam version for some time.

The Rockstar Games Launcher is the only place that currently offers this selection of remasters. Currently, Rockstar Games Launcher doesn’t offer a lot of games currently so players are hoping to get a game’s version on Steam or Epic Store.

A British journalist tweeted on Twitter about the possible GTA Trilogy inclusion on Steam and Epic Games Store. The tweet included a screenshot of a code that has been added to the Rockstar Games launcher. He’s well know to his coverage of topics related to Rockstar Games.

It will be a good thing for players to have the GTA trilogy on the same platform where they have all of their games. Currently, it’s unclear when the GTA Definitive Edition will be available in these stores. It is likely that Rockstar Games will be releasing an official announcement for the Steam release. The problems and glitches that have afflicted the game since its release will likely be fixed in GTA Trilogy. Despite this, more than 14 million copies of the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition were sold. This demonstrates that Rockstar Games still believes the product has a lot of potential. It is probably making a lot of effort to fix the bugs and enhance the game over time. As a result, the game may receive additional fixes and upgrades in the future, improving upon what it now is.

Rockstar Games will also release the mobile port for the GTA Trilogy expectedly in 2023.
