Alan Wake: Flashback, which is now available for Fortnite, takes most players 20 to 25 minutes to complete. This isn’t a full recreation of the original 2010 classic, nor is it a thorough retelling of the events of that initial game. It’s more of a “Previously On” type of experience. Obviously, this means that many details are glossed over. But the broad strokes are there: Alan Wake, a troubled author, looks for his missing wife in Bright Falls, Washington, and uncovers pages of a new horror fiction he appears to have written—but has no memory of.

The launch comes ten days before the long-awaited sequel, Alan Wake 2. Also, is great for individuals who play Fortnite and are interested but have yet to play the original.
