“As a Ronaldo fan, I have to point it out,” IShowSpeed calls Rio Ferdinand lazy for letting Messi score against him in the 2009 Champions League Final
IShowSpeed calls out Rio Ferdinand 'as a Cristiano Ronaldo fan'.
IShowSpeed had a wild week. Speed had a quite forgettable Sidemen Charity match where he missed a penalty against KSI and was labelled “IShowMiss”. In addition to that he indeed managed to tackle KSI and even MrBeast during the match. However, his team, All Stars lost against Team Sidemen FC with a 5-8 score. After coming back to streaming, he met Rio Ferdinand to do a reaction video together.
Former English footballer set to rewatch the Sidemen Charity match with IShowSpeed. Both of them gave some hilarious reactions to some key moments. In addition to that Speed unexpectedly had Rio bark while watching the match. However, following that match, he reacted to the match featuring Premier League legend, Rio Ferdinand, who even played alongside Ronaldo at Manchester United. However, it was when IShowSpeed called him out for being lazy that caught the fan’s attention.
IShowSpeed calls out Rio Ferdinand for letting Messi score in UCL Final 2009
It began when IShowSpeed chose to react to a video called “50 Great Champions League Moments: Lionel Messi’s Header vs Manchester United | 2009 Final”. Ironically enough, Rio Ferdinand happened to be the defender who failed to clear the ball before Messi had headered it into the goal. As they watch the clip, Speed told Rio “Rio next time there, you have to take it around. You see you were lazy, you were probably tired. You just, I don’t know, wanted to get the game over with“.
Despite missing a penalty on KSI, IShowSpeed had the audacity to question the legendary centre-back’s skills. However, he was not wrong and Rio even admitted to “gambling at that point”. Rio said that moment was one that stuck with him throughout his entire career as it was a UCL final. He then called IShowSpeed out for bringing it up when Rio wanted to have a good time.
IShowSpeed then said “I mean but, as a Ronaldo fan, you let Messi score so I have to you know, point that out. Why are you letting Messi score against you bro?” As Speed continued, Rio brought up the penalty he missed before they humorously compared which one was worse, Rio letting Messi score a UCL final match or Speed missing a penalty at a charity match?
The unexpected link-up between them had fans buzzing, as the whole stream was filled with wholesome and entertaining moments. This wasn’t the first time they met as Rio had first shouted him out before he met Cristiano Ronaldo. Rio had even promised to help Speed meet Ronaldo before they actually met back in June. IShowSpeed has come a long way since and he now is becoming a regular topic in the football world.
