BGMI is back with a bang! Since the re-release of the game, the stagnant Indian eSports scene is now, once again, in full bloom. Furthermore, almost every day, a new tournament and eSports organizations are coming up. The golden time for India’s eSports industry and streamers is finally here. And recently, Krafton announced a new upcoming BGMI esports tournament, the BGMI Series 2023.
BGMI, or Battlegrounds Mobile India, is a mobile battle royale game in the shooting genre. It’s one of the most beloved games amongst the gamers community of India. Furthermore, BGMI is the game that has sustained the Indian Esports industry and soared to new heights by hosting tournaments with massive prize pools. Krafton, the developers behind the game, had developed a very detailed roadmap of a great tournament lineup for last year. Moreover, Krafton is back with another tournament to kick off the re-launch of BGMI with the BGIS 2023!

The Indian esports industry has been revived with the re-release of BGMI, and players are dropping into their favorite battle royale game. Moreover, a lot of high-tier tournaments are already taking place all around the country. In a recent announcement on Krafton’s official YouTube Channel, the devs have announced their upcoming BGMI tournament. Organizers have named the upcoming tournament BGMI Series 2023 or BGIS 2023. Krafton is officially sanctioning this tournament, and Nodwin Gaming will be hosting it.
Furthermore, rumors suggest the prize pool for this upcoming tournament is massive. BGMI Series 2023 will have a prize pool of ₹2,00,00,000. Moreover, this tournament has a large participation scale. Around 256 invited teams will be participating in this upcoming scrimmage for the tournament called ‘The Grind,’ which will span for a total of 5 weeks and will start on the 20th of July, according to reports from LetsGrowEsports. The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 will be open to all tournaments, and registrations will begin from 24th July.
Last year’s BGMI Series was a hit amongst the player base, and it had a prize pool of ₹1,00,00,000, which is half of the amount of BGIS 2023. This shows the large scale of this year’s BGMI Series. With the BGMI Rising Tournament over, players are eagerly waiting for the next tournament to start soon. This upcoming tournament will take the current BGMI esports scene of the country to a higher tier with its huge prize pool and massive participation count. Many new rising Orgs would be participating in the upcoming tournament, and fans would be able to see new players shine!
