BGMI India Series 2021 winner to get the slot at PMGC 2021 Finals, confirms Tencent

After much speculations and suspicion by fans, it has been confirmed officially that the champions of BGMI India Series 2021 will get the direct invite at PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 (PMGC 2021).

The addition of an Indian team at PUBG Mobile’s biggest tournament of the year, PMGC was uncertain as the game was banned in India the previous year. After announcing the second season of PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 with 6 million USD prize pool, Tencent kept it hidden as to which team will get a direct invite at the grand finals of the tournament. The officials surprised everyone when it was announced that an Indian team is set to get the special invitation.

PMGC 2021 Finals slot will be given to BGMI India Series 2021 Champion

PUBG Mobile Global Championship and BGMI India Series were the most awaited tournament that were scheduled in the later half of this year with massive prize pools. PMGC 2021 features a prize pool of 6 million (43 Crores) whereas BGIS features a prize pool of 1 Crore. Although the latter tournament was scheduled to be held in the month of August, it was delayed due to the menace of hackers in the game.

When Tencent revealed that Indian team will be able to participate in PMGC 2021, fans instantly believed that the winner of BGMI India Series 2021 will be given that slot. This news has now been confirmed officially by Tencent. The grand finals of PMGC 2021 is scheduled to take place from 21st to 23rd January and a total of sixteen teams will be seen competing for the champions title and the cash prize.

The Indian team will play along with the other fifteen teams from PMGC 2021 Eastern and Western division where 9 teams will qualify from East and six teams will qualify from west. Currently, teams are battling at the league finals of PMGC whereas in BGIS, the online qualifiers are going on.

As BGMI India Series 2021 is an open for all tournament, various gaming experts are believing that the slot should be given to team that holds competitive experience. The grand finals of BGIS 2021 will conclude on 16th January,2022 and it will be intriguing to see which team bags the champion’s trophy.
