Imane Anys is currently one of the most followed Twitch streamers even though Amouranth has managed to dethrone her a few times. Even so, Pokimane has always been an entertaining streamer, mostly known for her League of Legends gameplay and Just Chatting sessions on Twitch.

After dropping a sensational picture on her Twitter post, Pokimane has once again become active on social media, updating fans about the daily activities of her life and even discussing the most important question- ‘Why did Pokimane take a break from streaming’. The streamer took to YouTube, uploading a video where she explained why she took a break and what lies ahead for her.

In the video, a fan asked her whether she wanted to become an engineer or a streamer, and she apparently stated that she wanted to be happy. Keeping mum for quite a long time, the Canadian-Moroccan internet personality decided that it was finally time to open up as her break had given her a lot of clarity.

“Decorating my new place, taking care of my stream room, which I’ll show you guys soon. Even like, finding grocery stores nearby that you like. Getting into a good routine, with a gym nearby, that you like. Legit, like, the basic human things, I was not doing, and I was very much putting on the back burner.”

While her moving into a new place was one of the reasons for her break, she also cited exhaustion and burnout as an important causes. Eventually, she went to discuss the most important part, which she admitted was quite difficult to talk about-

"The most important part of this, and the thing that is also the most difficult for me to talk about, is honestly, just coming to terms with my evolving content desires. And what I mean by that is, I think my break really cemented within me, this feeling I have, to want to do a lot more than just streaming."

Furthermore, the Twitch streamer stated that she does not want to be in a rat race where she has to stream for several hours straight as she just wants to enjoy streaming as well as gaming simultaneously rather than letting it affect her real life. She also explained that it is a lot more difficult for streamers to keep up with the latest trends and capitalize on viewership while uploading videos regularly.

As to her future plans for content creation, Pokimane revealed that she might not be streaming as frequently as she did at the start of her career, but it does not mean that she will quit streaming altogether. Fans can therefore expect to see their favorite streamer on Twitch for a long period of time.
