PUBG Mobile 2.2 update adds NUSA map and ‘Gear Front’ themed mode

PUBG Mobile 2.2 update announced!
With players reaching the middle of September, Tencent is ready with the PUBG Mobile 2.2 update with a brand new map named ‘NUSA’, some modifications made to the classic map Erangel as well as a themed mode named Gear Front.
As the previous patch has completed almost two months of its release, the developers will soon start pushing out the new content to the game, allowing players to try it after it is downloaded from Google Play Store and App Store.

PUBG Mobile 2.2 update: Release date and new features
One of the most popular mobile battle-royale title that is able to ensure a massive flow of revenue every month brings new content to the game after every two months. Tencent has now announced the release date of PUBG Mobile 2.2 update after a week of teasing the NUSA map.
PUBG Mobile 2.2 update will be available to the Android and iOS players from the 13th of September, although some devices might receive the patch by tomorrow due to the different time zones. The update comes after a fortnight’s beta test and teasing of the new map by the developers.
What’s new in the 2.2 update?
New NUSA map
The smallest of PUBG Mobile will be added to the game from September 15th. NUSA is a 1×1 km map exclusively meant for quick matches. The map will be a permanent addition and will be set in a tropical island with its distinguishing features such as PvE battles, Beach balls and destructible water jars. Apart from that, the highlights of the map are-
- Ziplines
- Elevators
- Tactical Crossbow, NS2000 Shotgun
- Quad vehicle

Erangel modifications
The veteran map Erangel is going to receive a modern look with the PUBG Mobile 2.2 update that will provide a seamless battle-royale experience to the players. Here are the top attractions of the newly designed map-

- Gas Station
- Targeted Supply Crates
Gear Front
The new NUSA map, Erangel and Livik will support a themed game mode named Gear Front which will be available from 29th September and conclude on 14th November. Players will be able to test out 8 new skills in this mode-
- Playzone Analysis
- Vehicle Air Drop
- Supply Scan
- Gliding Doll
- Black Market
- Trace
- Lucky Backpack
- Healing smoke
Strange Town
The strange town will comprise buildings that have been designed according to the European style. This town will be available from 29th September as well but only for the Erangel map. Players can even enjoy Halloween events on this Strange Town once we enter Halloween during October.
