New maps added in PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown
The main event of PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 has been wrapped up with the victory trophy being provided to Vampire Esports. Now, Tencent is making their moves to host the new event named ‘Afterparty Showdown’ and this event already holds a surprise for the audience.
A lot of changes were made to this year’s tournament format when an official announcement regarding the eSports structure was made. One of the primary changes was the division of PUBG Mobile’s mid season tournament as teams this year played the main tournament followed by the Afterparty Showdown.
PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 Afterparty Showdown adds Livik and Karakin maps
It has been announced by the officials that the ‘Afterparty Showdown’ tournament of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 will feature six different maps which implies that each match will be played on a different map compelling players to change their strategy every time.
Taking place in Riyadh, the Afterparty Showdown is a fun tournament that will bring 12 international teams under one roof to compete for the champion’s trophy as well as the cash prize of $1,000,000 USD. The match will be hosted for a total of three days marking its start on 18th August this year. With 6 different maps in total, the map order in a single day will look as follows-
- MAP 1: Erangel
- MAP 2: Livik
- MAP 3: Vikendi
- MAP 4: Karakin
- MAP 5: Sanhok
- MAP 6: Miramar
Fans might have noticed that this is the first time that Livik and Karakin, two of the smallest maps in the game will be added to the competitive eSports. This will help to finish the matches early as well as provide a room for increased competition among the players.

The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 Afterparty Showdown features a total of 12 teams out of which 5 teams were able to qualify from the main tournament that was concluded recently. Here are the teams participating in this Showdown-

- Vampire Esports
- Team Falcons
- Stalwart Esports
- Nigma Galaxy
- DAMWON Gaming
- S2G Esports
- Alpha7 Esports
- Bigetron RA
- Deadeyes Guys
- Team RA’AD
- 7Sea Esports
Apart from the champions trophy, these teams with the exception of 7Sea Esports and DAMWON Gaming will be able to get the Fan Favorite Awards as Tencent will allow fans to vote for their favorite players in the comment section of their official post on Instagram or Twitter.
