Valorant has been one of the most popular games since 2020 and players are curious whether the game will be coming to consoles or not. A recent job posting suggests it may be coming to consoles in the future. The PC-exclusive game will be giving the players what they are asking for. Riot Games has offered two jobs that ask specifically for console-based FPS experience. This means they might be looking forwards to taking their game to the next level.

After the launch in 2020, Riot has never brought up the topic of expanding the game to other platforms. But this recent event and leaks of Valorant coming as a mobile game and the developers in need of console-game designers point towards the expansion of Valorant.

A recent leak in August 2022 also revealed that the game added new icons for PlayStation and Xbox Controls to the game files. Their partnership with Microsoft also hints that Riot might as well be planning to get the game to consoles.

According to the job listing, there are two positions posted by Riot Games, that of a Senior Designer and a Design Manager. The job listings state a focus on console-based platforms and ask specifically for the following requirements to be met by the candidates:

• ‘Robust understanding of the console FPS market’
• ‘Shipped or worked on at least one console-based AAA+ online competitive game’
• ‘Experience developing on multiple platforms: PC, Mobile, Console’

Riot listing jobs for console game designers and managers clearly hints that the organisation has serious plans of bringing the popular FPS title to consoles. However, there has been no official announcement regarding Valorant coming to the console and players will have to wait for that. As all the things suggest that the game will be coming to the console, players can expect the official announcement very soon.
