Valorant has taken the lead in the first-person shooter competitive video game market thanks to its originality. Riot Games‘ debut first-person shooter, Valorant, has achieved significant financial success. Also, a sizable player base has grown in the three years since the game’s launch. Furthermore, the game’s map pool is ever-expanding. And Riot Games is finally introducing a new team deathmatch map, Drift in Valorant, after a while!
Revealed during the Valorant Champions 2023 event, the team Deathmatch mode is one of the best game modes available in Valorant. Undoubtedly, the best takeaway from this game mode is the ability to use abilities. So pairing this mode with a suitable agent is the best way to experience it. Furthermore, like in normal deathmatches, players respawn in this game mode.
Furthermore, the game has altered versions of many popular maps, such as Split, Ascent, and Bind. However, since launch, the game mode has had only three maps. But that seems to be changing really soon with the entry of the new Team Deathmatch map, Drift in Valorant!
New Team Deathmatch map “Drift” coming to Valorant
Riot Games has especially designed the existing maps in the Team Deathmatch game mode for shift and explosive gameplay. The area is not supposed to be that big and can give players an edge over others. Furthermore, players can utilize many corners and covers to best their enemies! Duelist agents go well with this game mode, but that’s as per user preference. And the new map of Team Deathmatch mode, Drift, is soon coming to Valorant!
Long sight lines, winding paths across Mid, and a brand-new, Thailand-inspired appearance highlight the recently introduced Team Deathmatch map. With its new three-lane TDM structure, zip lines, and weaving passageways in the Mid, the updated map enables players to participate in more dynamic gameplay.
Furthermore, Joey Simas, the Lead Map Designers at Riot Games, has revealed the inspiration behind the new Team Deathmatch Map in Valorant:
“For gameplay we wanted to create a long range space that players would enjoy fighting over. There’s lots of aim duels to be had but there’s also arope overhead that players can jump up to and quickly swap lanes. Artistically wetook inspiration from Thailand and its floating markets.”
Joey Simas, Lead Map Designer, Riot Games
This new match will be available to players starting December 5th. It’s going to be a grand entry into Valorant and a significant change of pace for all the Team Deathmatch players. This new map has fresh blue vibes and would be great for tactical gameplay with mayhem of abilities and chaos!
