Sony revealed PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for May 2023

Sony Entertainment has announced the monthly game lineup available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for the month of May 2023. The line-up consists of three games: GRID Legends, Chivalry 2, and Descenders.

PlayStation Plus is a monthly subscription available to all PlayStation users. The monthly subscription comes in three tier, Essential, Extra and Deluxe. The basic benefits of subscribing to PlayStation Plus is new monthly games, online multiplayer and exclusive discounts on games. The benefits increase depending on the tier a user is subscribed to. The three previous games from April 2023 were Meet Your Maker, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Tails of Iron that will be available till May 1st.

PlayStation Plus monthly Games

The monthly PlayStation Plus games for the month of May 2023 are GRID Legends, Chivalry 2 and Descenders.

GRID Legends

GRID Legends is a racing video game that was developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts. The game is the fifth installment to the GRID series featuring famous Formula 1 racers. It was released on 23th February 2022 after being inspired by Netflix series “Formula 1: Drive to Survive”. The game offers players more than 130 tracks to race on and more than 100 cars players can pick from including electric vehicles. GRID Legends offers both single and multiplayer experience.

Chivalry 2

Chivalry 2 is a first person hack and slash action game set in the medieval ages. The game was developed by Torn Banner Studios and published by Tripwire Interactive. It is the sequel to the game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and was released on June 8, 2021. Chivalry is a multiplayer that allows players to fight with medieval weapons like swords, spear, clubs etc. The massive amount of freedom available to players during a battle allows them to pick up dismembered legs and heads to use as weapons. Players can even throw their melee weapons although that is not suggested as it does not automatically return to the player if thrown.

Descenders

Descenders is a freestyle cycling video game RageSquid and published by No More Robots. The game puts players in a downhill dirt tracks that need to be completed to proceed to the next level. Player have the freedom to perform tricks and skills on the dirt track that could get them achievements and extra points. However the main objective is to finish the race track to move to the next level. This game is exclusive to the PS4 as the PS5 version has not been released yet.
