Well lil bro production is outclassing the official production

Valorant Champions is the biggest event in all of the Valorant Champions Tour circuit. It is the agglomeration of everything the player has been through to reach this stage. However, its popularity has seen a slight decline over the years especially in its main broadcast channels. On the other hand, watch-alongs have grown in popularity significantly.
Sentinels’ content creator and Valorant streamer Tarik has been hosting the Champions 2023 watchp party. After the group stages ended, some very interesting statistics came out about the viewership and watch hours of both the main broadcast and Tarik’s channel. Tarik watch hours, for the whole of VCT, is Significantly more than the main broadcast channel With 4.9M hours watched as compared to 2.9M hours watched by the main channel.
Valorant Champions 2023 all viewership statistics

Valorant Champions 2023 started on the 6th of August and has had 60 hours worth of Airtime. The main Valorant Channel averaged about 404,768 viewers while Tarik’s Channel had an average viewership of 60000. The peak viewership was reached during the NAVI vs LOUD game with 713, 960 combined viewers glued to their seats to watch the enthralling match. On the other hand, Tarik had a peak Viewership of 134, 590 during the NRG vs BLG rematch.
Even though these Statistics are completely in favour of the main broadcast it is deceptive. Tarik had almost double the Valorant Champions 2023 watch hours in comparison to the main broadcast which shows that Tarik viewers were constantly on the stream whereas, in the case of the main broadcast channel, the viewers dipped in and out. Also when there were breaks during the games, Tarik reacts to videos and different content related to Valorant which kept the viewers engaged while the mainstream just had a default screen timer with music.
This is partly due to the fact that the event is being held in Los Angeles USA, so it is very late for the APAC and Chinese fans to watch. Moreover, there were only two teams from the North American Region which implied that fewer viewers turned in for the show. In addition to that, Tarik’s watch party are very fun and goofy to watch so many players prefer to watch it with the former CS: GO major winner. These stats might change drastically during the playoffs.
