The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: How to get Auto-Build build ability

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can get several abilities and use them to their advantage after playing through. These come in pretty handy when completing missions and side quests. These are also used for navigational skills: ascend (which helps Link bypass through layers of walls and ceilings) and recall, to name a few.

One of those abilities is “auto build,” which happens to be an extension of the ability “Ultrahand.” With this ability, Link can summon any vehicle that he has built over time and use it for his mission. However, interestingly, this only works when the equipment needed to build it is just around the corner or at Link’s disposal. Players will get to use this skill after spending a considerable amount of time in the game.

However, this can be done by bracing their way in. Someone who is comparatively new to the game will have a tough time fighting with the guards, who will attack fiercely. This will prove to be a work of effort at best. Considering the dynamics that auto-build gives to the player, it’s advisable to unlock it at the beginning as soon as possible.

Where to find the Autobuild Ability in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Only at the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths is it possible to learn the Autobuild Zonai skill. Players should finish the mission “Camera Work In The Depths” before arriving here. This quest introduces players to the Depths and sets them up with a few subterranean sites of interest. It is presented by Robbie and Joshua after players have repaired the Skytower in Lookout Landing.

After completing the Camera Work in the Depths quest, players will come across the Isayusus Lightfoot, which is a place for Link to wrap in the Depths and a way to restore hearts that were previously removed by gloom. Players will have to start going south which leads to Nihcayam Lightroot.

This is where the trouble starts setting in. Players will need to come with gloom-resistant food, a lot of firepowers, and the ability to take things at a slower pace than before. Since the creatures in the dark can just kill players with one hit, it is even more essential to follow a good attack-based strategy. As players cross the Nihcayam Lightroom, they will have to head south.

Here, players will see mob packs. In the pitch-black area, there will be a little light. After players pass through this place, they will find themselves at the Great Abandoned Central Mine. And here they will come across Construct Steward. This is where players will finally get the “auto build” ability, however, only after fighting the surprise attack from Master Kohga.

Using Autobuild in Tears of the Kingdom

Due to its location in the Depths and the fact that it is rarely mentioned openly, auto-build is the final Zonai skill that most players discover. The link extends his arm as if to utilize Ultrahand with it, and a menu displaying the most recent builds the player has finished appears. It can also save blueprints for other default vehicles that can be used without the player’s input, but these are usually rather basic.

Autobuild will be known by a large purple aura on the ground. This is an ethereal vehicle floating in the air. When these things come together, parts to build a vehicle are available. This will lead to those parts coming together to form the vehicle.
