Prominent Twitch streamers have always been accused of having authorized power behind the scenes. Pokimane is well familiar with this, as she was always known to have secretly banned streamers whom she felt disinclined towards. Although these accusations have been rejected, Kai Cenat has now shown this may just be true, although he showcases it to the public rather than doing it behind closed doors.
IShowSpeed is a former Twitch streamer who now resides on YouTube after being banned on Twitch at the end of 2021. This came after a controversially trending clip of his that followed after he appeared on Adin Ross‘s e-dating episode. His controversial sexual comments were not taken lightly and had landed him permanently away from the platform. Now, Kai Cenat is trying to make a comeback for Speed on Twitch and fans are buzzing with joy.
Kai Cenat’s proposed plan to fix Twitch guidelines
This all began a month ago, in June 2023, when Kai Cenat called out the Twitch CEO. This was initially more than just for IShowSpeed. At the time and for a long time, Twitch was being held under ropes by the media for having issues with maintaining their policies. To resolve this, Kai Cenat proposed a plan to the Twitch streaming community. He planned to have a discord call with top streamers along with Twitch CEO Dan Clancy.
This seemingly came to fruition as Kai and his social media group, AMP, were spotted having dinner with Dan Clancy just this weekend. The viral clip that is now surfacing on the internet showcased Kai Cenat joking with Dan about banning streamer, YouRage, who was also present at the dinner. To that, Dan agreed jokingly. This banter between the two had reminded fans of a prominent banned streamer on Twitch, IShowSpeed.
Twitch CEO agrees that IShowSpeed should be unbanned on Twitch
Kai Cenat on his recent stream on August 1st, took to his stream to discuss his meeting with Dan for his viewers. He claimed the first thing he asked Dan was that IShowSpeed needed to be released. To that, Dan supposedly agreed. According to Kai he recalls his conversation, “We sat down with the CEO. The first couple of questions I asked, Yo we need Speed unbanned, ASAP. And guess what that n**** said, ‘I agree’. So CEO, DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO”.
This has been garnering attention from all over the streaming world, as fans are excited about the possible return of IShowSpeed on Twitch. At the moment, IShowSpeed has been in the news for his major health issue. He seemed to have caught a cluster headache and was seen with a gigantic, swollen eye. Fans have been posting their support, praying for the streamer’s urgent recovery.
