“Twitch is done” Top streamers react to xQc signing $100 million worth two-year non-exclusive contract with Kick

On June 16, 2023, Kick made a massive move by signing xQc to their platform with a gigantic $100 million. This is among the biggest deals in sports history. Kick-inked the deal with xQc in a non-exclusive contract. Because the deal is non-exclusive, xQc will still be streaming on Twitch. The actual deal is worth only $70 million but pushes up to $100 million with incentives.
xQc made the news public and in his statement said,
“Kick is allowing me to try and do things I haven’t been able to do before. I am extremely excited to take this opportunity and maximize it into new creative and fresh ideas over the coming years.” “It’ll probably be like wake up, go live, and stream (on Twitch) then switch over. Some days ill have full streams here, others ill have full streams there.” He added
Streamers react to xQc signing contract with Kick
One of the biggest names to have commented on xQc joining is Mizkif. Mizkif kept things straightforward by declaring “Twitch is done and not just on Twitch” shortly after the xQc agreement was made public. OTK is one of the largest organizations in the live streaming market, and all of the broadcasters with the organization make that platform their home, even though he doesn’t pull the numbers xQc does.
MoistCr1TiCal took a jibe at Twitch by criticizing their contract base with streamers. He mocked the Streaming giant by saying,
“Holy shit…don’t worry though, twitch is offering other top streamers a free ice cream cone once a month to keep them exclusive on their platform.”
Even big studios like Heros of Mavia commented on the tweet by giving their approval on the new signing by Kick with the internet sensation xQc.

This changes all the dynamics for Kick as it’s still in its initial stages of growth as a full-fledged streaming platform. It would be interesting to see where this will be headed. The platform has already signed some major streamers and is getting ready to challenge Amazon-owned Twitch.
