AriaSaki plays Valorant on stream

Canadian Twitch streamer Angela ‘AriaSaki’ Don had an unpleasant experience on her recent Twitch live stream. The OfflineTV member came live to play Valorant on February 2, but an abusive player left her no choice but to stare in silence for a brief moment.

Following a bad performance at a competitive match, the streamer was targeted by some of her teammates as they passed remarks on her poor gameplay. As soon as AriaSaki asked them to ‘shut up’, both of the teammates started an abusive rant against her.

“You don’t talk to my friend like that, you fu**ing sl*t,” Aria was surprised after hearing this but she refrained to put out any response. After a couple of minutes, when she saw that there was no end to these abuses, she replied, “wow, who hurt you my guy”.

The teammate then hit out at her by saying that it was she who hurt them. This further led to the other teammates mocking the whole scenario as AriaSaki stared in complete amusement.

The former League of Legends cosplayer remarked on her live stream that this is what female gamers have to deal with. She isn’t wrong on her part, as several female streamers such as Kyedae have also pointed out the similar issue.

AriaSaki then took to her Twitter account to describe what she felt during the whole encounter, as she was at a loss of words during the live stream. She stated that the teammate’s friend was annoying them at the comments as well as backseating them. However, her ‘shut up’ response triggered them to such a level.

Her tweet continued further, “ngl I was a bit scared. Not at the words… But at the thought someone would go so far to verbally harass at the sound of an annoyed woman,” she later adds that the teammates’ vile continues eventually on the live stream.

Fans and streamers provide their reactions

AriaSaki received a lot of support from fellow content creators and her fans. Most of the users told her to ban the user, simultaneously hoping that Riot Games is able to take some necessary action. Here are some notable reactions from her tweet-

Riot Games has taken action on some users who have been se*ist on the platform, as they banned streamer iShowSpeed. Only time can tell, whether they take prompt action on this issue and make Valorant a safer place for female streamers.
