Valorant Controller Tier list: Ranked/ Competitive mode
Valorant is a 5v5 first-person shooting game where players plant and defuse spikes in a site, and to kill the enemy game provides guns along with different agent abilities. Whether it is ranked or pro-play, the role of the controller is pretty straightforward. As a controller, you assist in taking and defending map control with your vision-blocking ability.
On attack, you help with executing and taking the neutral zone, sometimes holding down the site after Post-plant, and on defense, you will defend the site and take the neutral zone and use your ability for the retake. Without a controller, pushing an open area can feel nearly impossible.

Valorant controller tier list
As the controller, you have to take decisions more wisely as it can lead to your teammate dying being untraded. Here is the tier list for the Controller you can use in-game:
1. Viper
She is, in general, a great agent but on her meta map she is a must-pick which gives her high value in the current map pool meta. To go more in-depth on the point that she’s great on icebox, she can defend both A and B sites well and her wall is a great tool for attacking B and planting on B if Your team doesn’t have Sage.
Viper’s great on Pearl because her wall blocks vision well on the B side of the map. Undeniably, she’s a must-pick on the breeze due to the large size of the map. She’s solid on Fracture as well, where she blocks vision in attack with her wall where traditional smokes aren’t that viable. Her smoke orb combined with snake bite is a dangerous thing to push through. Her Ultimate and snake bite makes her one of the best to play after post-plant in Valorant.
2. Omen
Omen is overall a rock-solid smoke pick in the current meta and he can be played on any map in the current map pool of Valorant with the exception being breeze as Viper is the only viable pick on that map. But since breeze is leaving the next episode so omen’s priority will shoot up even more in the meta. He does have one of the best team-based flashes in the game which means playing off this ability makes for great pushes both on attack and defense.
His shadow steps help in peaking from off-angle and repositioning himself. If your teammate drops spike in a dangerous area, his ultimate help in picking spike easily.
3. Brimstone
Brimstone is a solid pick if you are a new player or haven’t ever tried a controller agent. He is easy to play. Brimstone still has the longest-lasting smokes in the game and his molly is great for post-plant since it is long-lasting and has fast tick rate damage. His steam beacon makes him a great attacking controller to assist his team on rushes. If your team likes fast execution, you should definitely pick this agent. Unfortunately, as his smokes don’t refresh, you have to strategies wisely while using him.
4. Astra
Once the queen of the controller class, after the nerf Astra received in patch 4.04, She isn’t in a great spot currently. The only map she’s being used is Pearl and she’s really good on this map. Her sucks and stuns are great for site denial when she’s on defense plus her utility is fairly self-explanatory and does a great job of clearing angles. Her ultimate makes attacking B side in Pearl very easy. She is tricky to play and needs practice to master her well.
5. Harbor
Despite minor tweaking in the last patch, Harbor is still facing issues to make mark on the meta. His main problem lies in the fact that all of his utilities are just smokes and don’t have any overpowering factors other than his ultimate. He can be an alternative of viper on maps like Icebox and fracture where walling off the angles is quite a good thing. We have to see what the future holds for this controller.
