The VCT Season is coming to an end with the last official tournament, Valorant Champions 2023, happening right now in Los Angeles. This year was the start of the franchise structure of teams and lasted for a span of about 7 months. Fans witnessed three international tournaments along with multiple regional leagues and challenger series. Teams duked it out for months in search of glory, and all of it is coming to an end, at least for the year.

The off-season is generally filled with a lot of roster shuffles and changing team management. It is also the time when a lot of unofficial tournaments are held and newer, unique formats are tested out. It starts after the end of Champions and lasts until January. The Global head of Valorant Esports at Riot Games, Leo Faria, announced the OFF//SEASON schedule in a recent Tweet.

One of the most fun tournaments in the off-season last year was the Ludwig x Tarik International. It was hosted by Sentinels Content creator and ex-CS: GO player Tarik and YouTube streamer and content creator Ludwig Ahgren. It was a short tournament with a $50,000 prize pool. A total of four teams participated in the tournament, which included the highly clouted and the then freshly made Sentinels roster. The tournament was won by the Guard, who bagged the first prize of $30,000.

Ludwig x Tarik Invitational 2 is coming back this year, bigger than ever. Even though no information has been shared about the tournament, Tarik tweeted out a screenshot of the event in the Official Off// Season list. He also talked about it during his live stream. He revealed that they are trying to bring teams from other regions here at this time. Given its last year success, the tournament prize pool will increase significantly. It will also be the most anticipated tournament during the Off//Season as teams will have already made roster changes by then and fans will see some new faces.

The fans have been elated at the news of the return of the Invitational. Ludwig and Tarik are both huge in the streaming scene and garner a lot of praise and respect from them. The whole Off//Season announcement, however, has had mixed responses, with a lot of criticism, especially from the European community, for the lack of tournaments in the region. However, the official website says that these are just the initial formulated schedules of the season, and a lot of tournaments are going to be added.
