Originally a New York native, and now living in Atlanta, Georgia, Kai Cenat has skyrocketed in fame on Twitch and is now aiming for the crown of being the streamer with the most active subs. Currently, the record is held by xQc, with the Canadian sitting at 76,821 subscribers, and Cenat in a close chase, having a sub-count of 69,028 at the time of writing.
A large number of the subs Kai Cenat has received are part of the current hype around the streamer, with more than 25,000 of his subs being gifted to viewers by other users. He became the second most subscribed streamer in August 2022, with many claiming his rapid success was not being recognised by Twitch, with JiDion even making allegations of racial bias on the platform.
Several streamers have also expressed disappointment at Twitch not publicising Kai Cenat’s growth such as Asmongold and his “competitor” xQc. xQc even called out racist chatters downplaying Kai’s success. The YouTuber LowTierGod commented that Kai wasn’t being publicised as his stream and actions weren’t “marketable”, but Kai went on to double down on his actions, continuing to grow regardless.

Seeing the rate at which he is growing, Kai Cenat is almost assured to overtake xQc in the number of subscribers he has on Twitch. Both the streamers have been criticised for their content not being “brand-friendly”, despite which neither of them has failed to garner the love and support of their fans.
