Disguised Toast claims his time on Twitch is limited but fans are still bewildered on a possible platform switch
Disguised Toast is switching platforms?
Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang is probably one of the few high profile streamers who is still under an exclusive contract with Twitch, but it cannot be denied that the streamer has provided some hints on changing his streaming platform. On a recent livestream, fans saw him broaching the subject once again, but they still aren’t fully convinced.
Before celebrating Halloween with his friends and family, the streamer came for a livestream on October 30, where the aspect of changing platforms was addressed. Toast was seemingly candid with his audience, stating, “The truth is, I’m not going to be on Twitch for long, I’m getting the bag from another platform.”
While this seemed to be a straight forward answer that he is indeed planning to end his exclusive contract with Twitch, his later comments left fans scratching their heads.
“I’m squeezing my audience [on Twitch] for all [the money] they’ve got. I’m doing as many sponsored streams as I can before I get the bag and move on.”
This came a surprise as fans didn’t expect Disguised Toast to make such a revelation. Although, taking this on a deeper level, it appears that the streamer is probably being sarcastic.
Will Disguised Toast leave Twitch?
Disguised Toast is one of the last members of the OfflineTV network who is streaming on Twitch exclusively. On his August livestream this year, the streamer was even wondering whether he should move to YouTube as well, but his primary concern was that he won’t be able to watch anime on YouTube.
This led him to take a step back but now that the same aspect has come forward, fans were hopeful about a YouTube switch announcement. However, hearing the streamer explain that the money that he gets from donations is his audience’s money as well, fans were completely puzzled.
"We're all in this together, when I make money, WE make money because you guys love me and I love you guys, right?
Toast also brought up his Hearthstone tournament win claiming that when he won the tournament, his fans won with him. He stated that “we won the tournament.”
Fans are divided on Disguised Toast’s statements
Toast completely knows how to stay mysterious and instill curiosity among his viewers. As the Twitch clip was shared on YouTube users wrote that the streamer is probably trolling his viewers, others continued Toast’s sarcasm as they thanked him for making them millionaires as they watched his stream.
