Raiden and Ayato’s banners have been added in the game as the second phase of 3.3 update starts from today. With these rerun banners, HoYoverse has also brought Haran Geppaku Futsu and Engulfing Lightning in Genshin Impact, the signature weapons for these 5-star characters.
Engulfing Lightning is the go-to weapon for Raiden Shogun as the Electro Archon uses this weapon effectively apart from The Catch, that can be obtained for free in the game. As several players might consider to get their hands on this polearm but are bereft of the signature character itself, then they can proceed with some alternate characters that will work effectively with this weapon.
Before we jump into naming the characters that are a good choice for Engulfing Lightning in Genshin Impact, it is important to note that players can claim this weapon only after spending Wishes or Primogems in the ongoing Epitome Invocation banner.

Best characters for Engulfing Lightning in Genshin Impact
Engulfing Lightning is a 5-star polearm that provides a base DMG of more than 600 when it is taken to its maximum level. Apart from that, its additional stats provide Energy Recharge to the active character which makes the weapon restricted to a few characters only.
Rosaria
One of the nuns from the Church of Favonius, Rosaria is one of the best Cryo support character in the game. Most of her DMG comes from her Elemental Burst as she pierces another weapon in the field, this might require her a lot of energy where this weapon will come as a savior.
Yun Jin
The Geo character Yun Jin also depends on her Elemental Burst often during the combat. Players can also make effective use of her Geo application when she goes into the burst mode, but for providing constant energy to character, Engulfing Lightning in Genshin Impact is the best choice.
Xiangling
Monstadt’s greatest chef, Xiangling is a 4-star Pyro user and just like Rosaria, her elemental burst is one of the most useful things in the game, specially for Spiral Abyss. Players should therefore, go with Engulfing Lightning on Xiangling if they are trying to make her the main DPS.

Zhongli
The Geo Archon remains the next character after Raiden Shogun who can use Engulfing Lightning in Genshin Impact, especially if players use his DPS build during combat. While his shield provides a good health, the energy recharge stats will make him a good healer in the team.
