Adrian Newey is often regarded as the greatest F1 car designer of all time. He has been a strong pillar in Red Bull becoming a world champion and helping them continue their success within the sport. However, his time at Milton Keynes was running short as he announced his departure from the team and spooled up rumors about where he would be head next. The answer to this question has been derived as the Brit revealed he would join Aston Martin next year.
The 65-year-old has been a part of the F1 sphere since the 80’s. Due to his expertise, Red Bull enjoyed an unprecedented lead whenever the Brit took the helm of the aerodynamic operations at Milton Keynes. This soon changed as formal ties between him and the Austrian giant broke a few months ago. This led Helmut Marko to predict that Adrian Newey would head to Maranello in 2025.
However, his claims were proved wrong as close relations started to develop between Lawrence Stroll and Newey.
Subsequently, it was revealed that the British designer would join Aston Martin in Silverstone amidst all odds. Though details regarding his contract are still unknown, experts have speculated that Newey could be set to earn $100 million from his new contract, which could have been the driving force for his move to the English team.

While Newey is known for his love for challenges, he is currently in the later stages of his career. This makes his move to Aston Martin possibly the last one of his career before retiring. It also implies that the 65-year-old would want to move to a team where he could go all out before bidding adieu.
Newey revealed how he reckoned that the Aston Martin project could turn into a world-championship-winning venture.
I am thrilled to be joining the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. I have been hugely inspired and impressed by the passion and commitment that Lawrence brings to everything he is involved with. Together with great partners like Honda and Aramco, they have all the key pieces of infrastructure needed to make Aston Martin a world championship-winning team and I am very much looking forward to helping reach that goal.Adrian Newey said in the press release by Aston Martin
Newey revealed that he was thrilled to be a part of the Aston Martin project. Furthermore, his comfort with the Honda engines and the upgraded facilities in Silverstone would help the team catapult itself higher in the pecking order to a possible world championship.
Apart from this, the 65-year-old would partner up with Fernando Alonso at the Silverstone-based HQ. This would kill two birds with one stone as he would fulfill his dream of working with the Spaniard while taking Aston Martin to new heights in F1.
