Since the culmination of the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has got the whole world talking about him. The fans have simply been in awe of the mega drive he produced at Interlagos and following this, the Ex-F1 owner Bernie Ecclestone has also come forward to shower praise on him.
Max Verstappen started the 71-lap Interlagos race from P17 but, despite this, triumphed in a dominant fashion. The 27-year-old won the race by around 19 seconds over second-place Esteban Ocon.
Seeing Verstappen’s heroics, Bernie Ecclestone feels F1 may never see a driver like the Dutchman enter the sport ever again.
Looking at the reaction of the Brit, it is quite clear that he genuinely sees Verstappen as one of a kind. The latter has so far amassed three world championships and is currently on course to amass a fourth consecutive title at the pinnacle of motor racing.
Max Verstappen produced one of the ‘great drives’ in F1 at Brazilian GP
While Bernie Ecclestone has showered praise on Max Verstappen, the Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has also not shied away from doing the same. Moreover, he even deemed Verstappen’s Interlagos drive as one of the greatest in the history of F1.
Verstappen ended his 10 races winless drought at the Brazilian GP. He also extended his lead over Lando Norris in the championship to 62 points with the RB20 proving incredibly strong in the wet conditions during the event.
The 2024 F1 season has only three races remaining on the calendar and considering this, Verstappen is the favorite to win the driver’s championship. There is also a slight chance that he could wrap up the title at Round 22 of the campaign, the Las Vegas GP.
