I don’t know if we’ll see another Max Verstappen in the future. Max is a special person. Max is a special guy. He’s a racer – in dry or the rain. He is so strong mentally. He always wants to win.

Looking at the reaction of the Brit, it is quite clear that he genuinely sees Verstappen as one of a kind. The latter has so far amassed three world championships and is currently on course to amass a fourth consecutive title at the pinnacle of motor racing.

He works it out for himself. His mental resilience is huge, and that’s part of the strength that he has. But you can see how much it meant to him. I don’t think I’ve seen him that animated on a podium. I can’t remember the last time, so it meant a huge amount to him. And I really believe that we’ve witnessed one of the great drives in Formula 1.

Verstappen ended his 10 races winless drought at the Brazilian GP. He also extended his lead over Lando Norris in the championship to 62 points with the RB20 proving incredibly strong in the wet conditions during the event.

The 2024 F1 season has only three races remaining on the calendar and considering this, Verstappen is the favorite to win the driver’s championship. There is also a slight chance that he could wrap up the title at Round 22 of the campaign, the Las Vegas GP.
