The Ferrari F1 team has become the talk of the town since the Monaco Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz and company scored a brilliant double podium finish, but surprisingly Red Bull, on the other hand, only managed eighth points courtesy of Max Verstappen.

Around Monaco, qualifying has always been key and this is where Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez did not perform. Seeing their struggles in Monaco, Carlos Sainz has made it known that the Austrian outfit has started to feel the heat in the championship tussle.

Verstappen was only able to manage P6 in qualifying whereas Perez was knocked out in Q1.

Being within 24 points of the Red Bull in the constructors, you see that when you put them under pressure yesterday, Max did a mistake in Q3 run two, Checo was out in Q1. We all just need to be there to show that these things can happen to Red Bull too. And [Saturday] is the best example.
Carlos Sainz said in an interview with RaceFans

Ferrari along with McLaren have been on an upward trajectory since the last couple of races. Both outfits have scored victories this year and this has come as a bit of a shock to the system for Red Bull. Sainz understands this fact and feels that his team just needs to keep up the pressure in the coming races.

Carlos Sainz can’t see Red Bull ‘dominating’ the rest of 2024

The Red Bull F1 team has been operating in a league of its own since the 2022 season. The ground effect regulations have proved extremely kind to them, but this is not the case anymore. With Ferrari’s Monaco GP triumph, the morale is extremely high within the team.

Moreover, Sainz has even claimed that he can’t see Verstappen and company dominating the rest of 2024.

I think Ferrari, we will have our opportunities in these sorts of tracks. Canada I think is quite specific, but a Barcelona or any European track, where I consider it to be a normal track, I still think Red Bull will be favourites, but I don’t think they’ll dominate like they used to do.
Carlos Sainz said in the same interview

The 2024 F1 season still has 16 Grand Prix events remaining on the calendar. Keeping this in view and that the gap in the world championship is not too big to Red Bull, Ferrari has a golden chance to finally secure a title after over a decade. However, in order to do that, they will be required to give their 110 percent at almost every race weekend.
