With the cost cap and the current regulation, you have to manage both sides and we will bring upgrades when we have something to bring. What you have to keep in mind is that you have a kind of convergence of performance and the development rate is much lower than it was two years ago. It means that each time that someone is bringing an upgrade, and I think it’s true for us, but it’s true for everybody, the gain is smaller than it was two years ago, and this is normal.
Fred Vasseur told the media.

Fred Vasseur has admitted that making gains in terms of the performance of the car is much more difficult than it used to be with the current cost cap and regulations. With the current hindrances in the development of their 2024 challenger, Ferrari is rumored to ditch their suspension design for a pull-rod concept for next year.

The development of the 2025 challenger is reportedly under way already by the team, which is keen to make drastic changes in comparison to the SF-24. The coming races of the season will determine Ferrari’s approach for the coming year as well as their approach towards the 2026 season.
