Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz has made his pick for assembling the best five-man football team of F1 drivers. Sainz has been an ardent fan of football since his childhood, having recently cheered for his homeland, Spain, in the recent Euro Cup.

Carlos Sainz is on a fine run of form this season, amassing 162 points in 14 races. He is set to make a move to Williams Racing in 2025, departing the Maranello-based team after four successful seasons.

Sainz has chosen fellow compatriot Fernando Alonso to lead the attack in his five-man team. He also chose Pierre Gasly, along with Gigi, a member of the Ferrari crew, to play for his revised team.

The 29-year-old emerged victorious at the Australian Grand Prix this campaign but has failed to win since. He will now look to return to winning ways as F1 gets underway at Zandvoort after the ongoing summer break.

Charles Leclerc urges Ferrari to learn and minimize their mistakes

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has talked of the recent issues in the team’s challenger after a strong start in 2024. Leclerc has endured a dip in form himself as well, amassing only a single podium after his extravagant win at Monaco this season.

This is where we need to be good, that whenever we are in those moments, we just focus on ourselves, try to take the noise away, learn from it and use it positively. But I hope that we don't have too many of them.

Charles Leclerc has urged his team to primarily focus on their outcomes by shutting down any external voices in their opposition. He has also pinpointed the need for the team to derive positives in order to make a solid comeback.

Leclerc has conclusively also hoped for a vastly successful run ahead of a competitive second half in 2024. His main focus will be to amass maximum points out of the last 10 races in order to resume the title chase for the Maranello-based team.
