Charles Leclerc speaks up on 2024 title prospects after stellar US GP victory

Charles Leclerc shocked the F1 paddock by taking an impressive victory at the US GP. The Monegasque driver managed to outperform championship leader Max Verstappen on pure pace. Now, the Ferrari driver has revealed his chances of potentially winning the 2024 title.
Presently, Leclerc sits third in the standings, 79 points behind Max Verstappen. While Lando Norris only has a gap of 57 points to the Dutch driver. Subsequently, the Monegasque driver admitted that he would need some luck to have a shot at winning the championship. Although, the US GP winner emphasized that one cannot rely on luck in Formula 1.
With the drivers… Even if we do everything perfectly, I feel it will require a little bit of luck to try and get that title, and we cannot rely on luck.

Moreover, Charles Leclerc asserted that taking the drivers’ title seemed unlikely for the Scuderia this year. Nevertheless, the 27-year-old will continue to have hopes till it becomes mathematically impossible to defeat Verstappen and Norris.
So the drivers’ seems to be quite unlikely, but again, I’ll believe in it until it’s mathematically impossible, but trickier.

The Monegasque driver took Ferrari’s first 1-2 finish in the US since 2006 last weekend. Charles Leclerc highlighted that Maranello could win the teams’ title this season if it continues to be perfect for the last five races. Leclerc further insisted that the Scuderia must do better than McLaren to clinch the championship.
Let’s say that for the constructors’, if we do everything perfect until the end of the season, no matter what McLaren does, if we do better than them, I think we can still clinch that title.
