Charles Leclerc admits having ‘difficult’ moments with Carlos Sainz at Ferrari
Charles Leclerc claims he had endured difficult situations with Carlos Sainz at Ferrari since the two became teammates in 2021.

In 2021, Ferrari signed Carlos Sainz to partner Charles Leclerc and replace Sebastian Vettel. He finished in eighth position in the first ever race at Bahrain with Ferrari. Leclerc admitted that they’ve been through thick and thin times and faced difficulties and challenges throughout the time with Sainz. Together, they have endured challenges and good times, from securing a 1-2 finish in Australia to struggling to qualify strongly in Spain.
Charles Leclerc expressed his satisfaction at working alongside Carlos Sainz at Ferrari. He mentioned that he is very happy with how they have worked together. Leclerc also praised the Spaniard, labeling him as one of the incredible drivers. Over the years, they have faced some very challenging moments at Ferrari, but they managed to overcome those difficulties by working together as a team. The 26-year-old’s words highlighted the strong partnership and mutual respect they have developed while driving for Ferrari.

Ferrari was the second dominant team at the beginning of the season. The Monegasque also acknowledged that Sainz’s contributions have played a significant role in their progress. He pointed out that their teamwork has been crucial for the improvements they’ve made. Leclerc emphasized that their partnership has always been effective for the team. However, after such good and bad times the partnership will come to an end as the season progresses to its last race. This is because the Spaniard will be joining Williams, getting replaced by Lewis Hamilton.

Charles Leclerc ‘motivated’ to race alongside Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari
Charles Leclerc mentioned that having a seven-time world champion join the team was exciting news. He found it interesting because he would have the chance to learn from one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. Learning from such an experienced driver is a valuable opportunity for the young talent. He explained it was very motivating for him because he looked forward to seeing how he compared to Lewis Hamilton when they will drive the same car.

Certainly, Charles Leclerc is delighted work alongside Lewis Hamilton after saying goodbye to his current teammate in December.
