Lewis Hamilton shocked the sporting world when he announced his decision to join Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. Many in the paddock are waiting to see Hamilton race for Maranello alongside Charles Leclerc next year. Leclerc recently talked about the seven-time world champion’s highly-anticipated arrival to the Scuderia.

Charles Leclerc claimed that it was going to be incredible to have Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari. The Monegasque driver further highlighted that he would be able to work alongside the seven-time world champion with the same car. Leclerc seemingly looked flustered while talking about Hamilton.

It’s going to be incredible to have Lewis on the team and, obviously, to be able to have such an incredible champion in the same team as me, with the same car.

The Ferrari driver hopes to use the Briton’s arrival for his own advantage by learning from Hamilton’s vast experience at the pinnacle of motorsport. Moreover, Charles Leclerc was ready to show the paddock that he was capable of pushing the seven-time world champion to the limit as his teammate at Scuderia Ferrari.

Charles Leclerc recalls being ‘intimidated’ by F1 drivers

Charles Leclerc made his F1 debut in 2018 with Alfa Romeo (now Kick Sauber). The Monegasque driver had just come off a successful season in Formula 2. However, Leclerc confessed that he was not only super impressed by drivers in Formula 1, but even got intimidated. Nevertheless, things have changed. With the Ferrari star claiming that its crazy that he will be racing with Lewis Hamilton.

In the first year [in F1], I remember being super-impressed and intimidated by all these amazing drivers, and Lewis is probably the best out there, so being able to race with him was crazy.

Certainly, Charles Leclerc is delighted to be teammates with the most successful driver in the history of Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton will bring in his valuable experience to the Scuderia next season which could immensely help the team and Leclerc. As such, fans would be waiting to see how things pan out at Maranello next year.
