Paris will be hosting this year’s Olympics and the grand extravaganza is slated to officially kick off on the 26th of July. However, before that, the Olympic flame is on the move and has been on it for some time since leaving Greece. The flame has quite a few stages left until it reaches its final destination ahead of the opening ceremony.
Charles Leclerc deems Max Verstappen an ‘aggressive driver’
While Charles Leclerc has recently had the time of his life carrying the Olympic flame in Monaco, he has also recently taken the time to talk about Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton‘s driving style. Moreover, he shed light on his approach while racing as well.
Hamilton and Verstappen are both fast, obviously. For Lewis I would add calculating. In the way he moves, the way he positions the car when he defends or attacks, you understand all the experience and thought behind it. Max is aggressive. He's more like: if there's space I'll just go there. 'm fast too. And intuitive: in certain moments I drive a lot with intuition , especially in qualifying, it's something that characterizes me.Charles Leclerc said in an interview with La Stampa
The 2024 F1 season is nine rounds down and after these many races, it is clear that Max Verstappen is once again the man to beat. The Dutchman is currently leading the drivers’ championship with 194 points, but despite this, he can’t afford to breathe easy as Leclerc is in second with 138. The upcoming Spanish GP could further see a decrease in the overall gap between the two prolific drivers.
